Dr. Karen Tan

Qualified veterinarian and holistic natural vet

Dr. Karen Tan is a holistic vet operating from her clinic – Chinese Vet Holistic Healing located at Plympton Park, Adelaide. She is trained in Chinese traditional medicine and a practitioner of Jin Shin Jyutsu. Her patients include, dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, wombats….and helped many regain health and mobility. Instead of constant vaccination, Dr. Tan also encourages doing antibody titre-testing and vaccinating only when truly necessary.

Being a vet has been Dr. Karen Tan’s lifelong dream and calling. She grew up in sunny Singapore and has loved the company of animals since she was young (sometimes even more than human ones!) and her furry friends always return that friendship with unconditional love.

In the last 10 years, Dr. Karen has developed a keen interest in traditional Chinese medicine for animals (TCM) together with other forms of alternative medicine and has studied under several veterinarians in Australia, as well as TCM practitioners in both Singapore and Australia. She has also undertaken acupuncture certification course with the Chi Institute for animals and is an AVA acupuncture and integrative medicine member. The journey and joy of learning never ends!
