Louise Macartney is a Certified Health and Lifestyle Coach – a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. In addition, she has 30 years of experience in Nursing; including Midwifery, Child & Family Health and as a Lactation Consultant. She is a highly sought after public speaker and facilitates a variety of wellness seminars throughout Australia and overseas.
In 2006 Louise experienced a variety of minor health issues. She set out to explore potential underlying causes of her symptoms and found an overwhelming amount of research on the effects of stress, nutritional deficiencies and environmental toxins. She chose to embrace natural philosophies of healing and in 2010 left her nursing career to work as a Holistic Health Coach – on a mission to inspire and empower families to make informed decisions to get back into the driver’s seat of their health.
Not satisfied with just addressing the causes of dis-ease, a self confessed ‘Wellness Junkie,’ Louise developed a fascination about ‘Living Longer, Better!’ In 2015 her research led her to the Blue Zones – 5 regions of the world where people live measureably longer lives. Since then she has visited the largest Institute for Training and Research in Ayervedic Medicine in India, ‘The land of Immortals’, Okinawa, Japan where ‘women live longer than any women on the planet’ and has just returned from Ikaria, Greece – ‘The Island Where People Forget to Die.’
Louise Macartney is a longstanding advocate for toxin free, nutrition dense, sustainable living.
