Yoga Teacher and the founder of I Am That – Yoga
Victoria is the founder of I Am That – Yoga, a community based in Melbourne and focused on making Yoga more accessible with a welcoming Yoga space, affordable prices and products that facilitate your Yoga practice. Victoria has been practicing yoga for several years and started teaching Yoga 4 years ago. She has dedicated her life since to practicing, teaching and learning Yoga. Based on a philosophy that Yoga is for everyone, and that everyone’s Yoga is different, Victoria has made it her mission to provide as many people as possible with the opportunity to find their own Yoga.
She can offer classes in:
Hatha (the origin of physical yoga, which all other styles are derivatives of. Focusing on breath and mindfulness, the physical postures, or asanas serve to deepen the connection between body and mind.)
Restorative Yoga ( A class that truly reflects its name. Gentle, nurturing poses that are entered, held and left in a comfortable and soft manner. Accompanied by props and soothing music, the goal of this class is to restore what is often lost in the busy day-to-day routine: Comfort, calm and compassion for yourself.
Yin Yoga ( Suitable for all levels of students, Yin Yoga, the Yoga of surrender, is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular hot slow flow. Yin yoga will target the connective tissues in the body and asanas are generally held from between 1-5 minutes. This beautiful class will leave you feeling relaxed, grounded and balanced and enable you to deepen your Yoga practice. )
Vinyasa (Meditation through movement. These classes are set at an intermediate level but are suitable for all levels. Characterized by dynamic movement (flow), strong postures (asana) and modifications to suit all levels and physical needs this class will get your heart rate and temperature up, without pushing you to your limits. Breathing, moving and stretching is what we do here.
Slow Flow (Move mindfully through this meditative, chilled out flow. Our mellow flow classes are light and creative, but slower paced and gentler than our vinyasa classes. The nature of this class is great for beginners, but is also wonderful for intermediate and advanced students who feel like slowing it down and sinking deeper into their practice. Sequences invite focus and transitions provide stability, with poses held for longer to ensure time and guidance can be given to alignment and technique. Please advise your teacher before class if you have any injuries, are a beginner or are pregnant.)
Remedial Yoga (Yoga for injuries and physical limitations, a slow, therapeutic and mindful approach to physical yoga)
Prenatal Yoga (tailored to pregnant women, it focuses on finding comfort in your body while creating a nurturing space for your baby to grow).
